Lindgren top scored for Wolverhampton at Monmore |
Wolverhampton put their recent woes behind them to bounce back in style with a 48-45 win over Belle Vue in their Elite League meeting at Monmore. Freddie Lindgren overcame two blown engines to top score for Wolves with a 10+1 haul. Birmingham Brummies skipper Jason Lyons was a guest rider for Belle Vue Aces and threatened Wolves' lead with two successive heat wins. But Wolves held on to win for the first time in five meetings. Wolves are second-from-bottom in the Elite League table and still have not won away from home this season. They will get the chance to address that when they meet the Aces again on Wednesday.
