Billy Janniro weighed in with 14 points (Jeff Davies) |
Coventry Bees booked their place in the semi-finals of the Craven Shield despite going down 50-42 at Belle Vue on Monday. Because the margin of defeat for the current holders was less than 18 points they still managed to win their group. Billy Janniro top-scored for the Bees, who used rider replacement for the injured Rory Schlein. Coventry will face Poole Pirates in the next stage of the competition, a team they already face twice this week.
