Eastbourne Eagles fell just short in their bid for a second successive away victory of the new Elite league season. They lost 48-42 at Peterborough Panthers with skipper Lee Richardson top scoring with 12 points. Coventry's Chris Harris, who replaced injured Eagles star Scott Nicholls, suffered engine failure in heat one but still secured two heat wins. The Eagles still lead the Elite League after three meetings and next host Wolverhampton on Saturday.
