Berwick Bandits have signed Austrian rider Manuel Hauzinger for the coming season and the new arrival will ride in the number four jersey. The signing ends a nervous wait for promoter Peter Waite to finalise his side before Tuesday's cut-off point.
Hauzinger rode for Newcastle two years ago and enjoyed a spell at Birmingham last season.
Meanwhile, Berwick lost the Tyne-Tweed Trophy to Newcastle on Sunday despite beating the Diamonds away on Tyneside.
