New Belle Vue signing Steve Boxall has been lined up with the backing of both Jason and father Phil Crump. Double world champion Jason has returned to the Aces after 12 months with Poole Pirates.
Dad Phil's Midlands-based tuning business is set to take care of Boxall's engines as he builds on two premier championships in four years.
"I rode with Jason at Poole and he helped me a lot," Boxall told the Manchester Evening News.
"I'll also be listening to Joe Screen because he'll be my captain at Belle Vue and in Sweden where we'll be riding for the same club," he said.
"Coming to Belle Vue is a big step but, with the lowering of team strength and new riders coming in, I think it's a good time to jump up.
"My aim at Belle Vue is to increase my average by two points and I feel confident I can manage that with a figure around the five-point-five mark," he added.
