Somerset Rebels rider Ritchie Hawkins has returned to the UK after being treated for career-threatning injuries in Germany. The 24-year-old stunned German medical staff with his progress as he began the long road back from a broken thigh, ankle, arm, wrist and rib.
He said: "The last few weeks have probably been the hardest of my life.
"But it has been an experience from which I have learnt a great deal and has made me stronger as a person."
