Arena-Essex Hammers have agreed a sponsorship deal with food chain Harry Ramsden's, and are now looking to improve commercial success in Essex. Co-promotor Jon Cook is to shadow Poole chief Matt Ford as they prepare for the new Elite League speedway season.
Cook said: "Speedway is still a mystery and we will be diverting all our energies in this direction rather than relying on preaching to the converted."
The Hammers face Poole in a Challenge meeting on 14 March.
