Bomber wants to be Bees captain
British Grand Prix champion Chris Harris has thrown his hat in the ring to succeed Scott Nicholls as Coventry Bees captain for the new season.

The new points total limit for Elite League teams forced Coventry to release Nicholls, who has gone to Eastbourne.

And 25 year-old Harris is keen to be the team's new skipper.

"I was vice-captain last year," Harris told BBC Coventry & Warwickshire. "And I've said to the management I'd like to do it this year."

"Every time Scott's been injured, I've come in and been captain and we've always won," added Harris. "So hopefully I can carry on."
