Isle of Man TT will continue - Quayle

Isle of Man TT rider Liaison officer Richard Quayle has responded to former world motorbike champion Wayne Gardner's call to ban the event.

Following two more deaths at the 2010 meeting the Australian wrote in his blog: "I simply can't understand why this is allowed to continue.

"The whole event needs to be consigned to history."

But Quayle told BBC Isle of Man: "Of course the TT is dangerous but that is part of the attraction."

New Zealander Paul Dobbs and Austrian Martin Loicht both lost their lives in this year's second Supersport race.

And Quayle added: "Every rider knows what they are doing when they throw their leg over the bike and the consequences if they get it wrong."
