Johnston's Somerset Rebels are currently sixth in the Premier League |
Steve Johnston has signed a two-year deal to stay with Somerset Rebels. The Australian moved to the Oak Tree Arena at the start of the year after a season with Ipswich in 2008 and spells with Oxford and Coventry in 2007. And the Rebels number one, 37, who has ridden for seven clubs in seven years, could end his career at Somerset. "Everything's gone great since I joined and I can't foresee why I would not want to be involved with the Rebels for as long as I'm still riding," he said. "The stability this now gives me is something I've been looking for at this stage of my career."
