Reigning Irish Superbike champion Brian McCormack is to ride for the MAR Adept Kawasaki team in the 2009 British Superbike Cup championship.

Waterford man McCormack succeeded Michael Pearson as national champion last year and will now ride for Malcolm Ashley's team in the privateer series.

McCormack saw off the challenge of Pearson and Denver Robb to secure the series win at Bishopscourt in October.

McCormack has also expressed a desire to ride at the Isle of Man TT.
