Veteran Bayliss is on course for a third World Superbikes title |
World Superbikes championship leader Troy Bayliss says he wants to mark his final appearance at Brands Hatch with a win when he races there on Sunday. Bayliss, 39, is retiring at the end of the year and goes into the British round of the championship 79 points clear of nearest rival Max Neukirchner. "I like the layout, it's probably the most dangerous one we visit," he said. "But this gives it more character! I hope to pull out a great result. It'd mean a lot to win at Brands this year." The Australian Ducati rider has been top of the standings for the whole of the season and claimed a double win last time out at Brno in the Czech Republic.
