A race in Hungary has replaced the Chinese Grand Prix on the provisional schedule for the 2009 MotoGP season. If the Balatonring circuit is built in time and meets the necessary standard, it could stage the 14th round of the 18-race series in September 2009. The season will start with a night race in Qatar in April and finish at Valencia in November. The Japanese race moves to earlier in the schedule, Portugal is later and the British round moves from June to July.  | 606: DEBATE | At the midway point in the 2008 championship, Valentino Rossi has a 25-point lead over defending champion Casey Stoner.
