Double world champion David Knight could return to Enduro

Manx star David Knight has hinted he could return to compete in the 2009 World Enduro Championships.

Knight won back-to-back world titles in 2005 and 2006 before moving to the United States to contest the Grand National Cross-Country series.

Speaking after his latest victory in Tennessee, Knight said: "I have received a much warmer reception this year from the fans and the riders.

"But the chances are I will go back to Europe and race again."

He added: "The other guys are fighting hard this year and the pace has definitely improved. I trained more than ever going in to this season and it's paying off. I am building a minute-and-a-half lead and keeping it."

The defending GNCC Champion has made a dominant start this year, winning four of the opening five rounds in America.
