Oxfordshire's Bradley Smith was the fastest rider in the first test session of the new MotoGP World 125cc Championship season. The 17-year-old beat the unofficial lap record at Jerez in Spain as part of the build-up to his first season competing for the Polaris World team.
"It's a great start to the season with my new team, especially as I'm still learning so much about the bike," said Smith.
The first MotoGP of 2008 is in March.
