Ryan Farquhar won the Senior Classic race on Monday |
Ryan Farquhar's hopes of his second win of the week at the Manx Grand Prix were dashed on Wednesday. The Dungannon rider won the Senior Classic race on Monday but he took second behind Roy Richardson in the Junior Classic race in the Isle of Man.
Saintfield man Davy Morgan retired from the Lightweight Classic race on lap two while in second place.
Republic of Ireland rider Derek Brien won the Junior Manx Grand Prix where Dungannon man Andrew Neill took third.
Brien was runner-up in the class last year but he finished ahead of Sweden's Mats Nilsson in Wednesday's race.
Richardson had 42 seconds to spare from Farquhar at the finish in the Junior Classic event to repeat his triumph of 12 months ago.
The winner also bettered Jason Griffiths' 2003 lap record by five seconds at 102.72mph from a standing start.
Former winner Chris McGahan claimed third ahead of John Goodall, Steve Elliott and Tony Myers.
Richardson's father Peter took second in the Lightweight classic event behind Ewan Hamilton while David Smith took third.
