Ryan Farquhar was fifth in the TT Superbike race |
Ryan Farquhar will race at the Ulster Grand Prix in August and intends taking in the Kells and Mid-Antrim 150 road races to get ready for the big event. The Dungannon rider has been out of the saddle since the Isle of Man TT.
Farquhar will campaign Kenny Harker backed Kawasakis in the Supersport and Superstock races at Dundrod but is yet to decide which Superbike he will ride.
"It will be either a Kawasaki or a Honda. I need a competitive bike with a good back-up," Farquhar told the BBC.
"I have ridden a Mark Johns Honda so far this season so I will have a chat with him first, but Winston McAdoo's Kawasaki is also an option.
"Whichever bike I decide to ride, I will have a run out at the Mid-Antrim at the start of August to get used to it," said Farquhar.
The 31-year-old will race his 600cc and Superstock bikes at Kells this weekend and has lined up a number of other meetings after the 'Ulster' on 18 August.
He will ride a 500 Patten in the Senior Classic Manx Grand Prix and a 350 Honda in the Junior Manx Grand Prix and has been offered Superstock bikes for the final few rounds of the British championship.
"I have yet to make a decision about the British championship rounds but there is a strong possibility that I will be riding an MV Agusta at the Scarborough Gold Cup meeting in September.
"A lot of people have been writing me off but I still think I can win races and I plan to race again next season," said the two-time TT winner.
