Steve Plater aims to repeat last year's North West 200 heroics when he returns for the meeting in May. The Englishman, who won both Superbike races and set a new lap record, visited the circuit on Tuesday to discuss safety issues with organisers.
"The North West is something very close to my heart and I am hoping for the same success as last season," he said.
"It is one of the safer road race circuits and that's why it attracts so many British Championship competitors."
Newcomers Christian Elkin and Nathan Pallatt will compete in the meeting for the first time this year.
Elkin is a double British 125cc champion and both are regular competitors at British championship level.
