Ryan Farquhar was injured at the Cookstown 100 |
Ryan Farquhar says a podium place is his realistic target at the Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod on 19 August. "A rostrum finish would be nice but a win is really out of the question as I am still regaining my fitness.
"I will do as much as I can to get fit in the next few weeks and my aim is to be on the Superbike at the Ulster GP.
"I tried to take the 1000 bike out at Faugheen but couldn't manage it so I just went with the 600. Winning that race gave me some confidence."
"I went ok in practice, got a good start from the second group and just rode a steady race on my own.
"I will be out again at the Mid Antrim on Saturday and if I feel strong enough I'll take out the Superstock bike as well as the 600.
"I'm already looking forward to next year and intend training hard in the winter to be as fit as I can for 2007," said the Dungannon rider.
