Honda's Nicky Hayden goes into Sunday's British MotoGP with his confidence sky high following his maiden victory in America earlier this month. Hayden, 23, became only the second rider this season to beat championship leader Valentino Rossi of Yamaha.
"I now know I can do it at this level and I won't be happy until I do it again," said the American.
"I come to Donington Park with a new spring in my step knowing we have the capability to shock."
Despite his win, Hayden is 101 points behind Italian Rossi in the riders' standings and sixth overall.
Rossi is 79 points clear of second-placed Marco Melandri and 86 clear of Max Biaggi in third.
Meanwhile, Spain's Sete Gibernau, currently fourth in the riders' standings, anticipates a tough race on Sunday.
Gibernau said: "I don't find the track easy at all. Craner (Curves) is notoriously difficult.
"There's no visibility and the switch in direction has to be taken blind."
