Michael Laverty has been named the Irish Racer Motorcyclist of the Year. Laverty received the award after earning podium places in the British Superbike series and winning four races at the Sunflower Trophy in October.
The Toomebridge rider saw off the challenge of Ryan Farquhar, who had picked up the award in 2004 and 2005.
Farquhar won the national road race prize, Martin Barr the young rider award and TAS Suzuki were the top team. Ray McCullough enters the Hall of Fame.
TAS owner Hector Neill collected the services to sport accolade and Ian Lougher edged out John McGuinness and Ryan Farquhar for the International Road Racer of the Year.
Other winners were Martin Barr (Motocross Rider of the Year), David McKee (Supermoto Rider of the Year), Andy Perry (Trials Rider of the Year), Jack Kennedy (Irish Short Circuit Merit Award) and Michael Laverty (Irish Short Circuit Rider of the Year).
Special guests Neil Hodgson and Ron Haslam received International awards in recognition of their service to international sport.
