Ex-world champion Kenny Roberts Jr will ride for his father and namesake in a Honda-powered MotoGP team this year. Honda will supply British-based Team KR with 900cc engines to power a Roberts-designed bike.
Roberts Jr became the first son of a champion to win the world title when he won the 500cc crown with Suzuki in 2000 but left them after a poor 2005 season.
His father won three titles, but his team struggled in 2005, missing races after losing engine supplier KTM.
