Bruce Anstey won last year's feature race at the North West 200 |
North West 200 clerk of the course Mervyn White has said that this year's event on the north coast on 13 May promises to be "bigger and better". The event has been boosted by a new sponsorship deal with Coleraine firm, the Kennedy Group, who will pump in 200,000 over the next three years.
"It's certainly getting bigger with the top-class competition and the increased hospitality," said Mr White.
Michael Rutter and John McGuinness were among the stars at Tuesday's launch.
Rutter is an 11-time winner at the north coast meeting but he will face tough opposition from the likes of John McGuinness, Ryan Farquhar and Bruce Anstey.
American Mark Millar, who has achieved two top-sixth finishes in the Macau Grand Prix, also attended Tuesday's get-together and he is expected to return to Northern Ireland for the big event.
