Rutter still holds a healthy lead in the title race |
Ryuichi Kiyonari and Gregorio Lavilla both took victories in round six of the British Superbike Championship. But series leader Michael Rutter landed a pair of second placings at Croft on Sunday to keep his grip on the crown.
HM Plant Honda rider Rutter was pipped by Kiyonari in race one after missing a gear on the sixth lap at the hairpin.
Lavilla was third in the opener but the Spaniard barged ahead after a restarted second race - caused by heavy rain - to trail Rutter by 45 points overall.
