 Checa won at Le Mans |
World endurance champion David Checa will make his MotoGP debut at the Italian Grand Prix next weekend. The Spaniard will ride for Fortuna Yamaha as a replacement for Toni Elias, who injured himself during testing.
Elias has had surgery on an injured wrist and will be out of action for about five weeks.
Checa, who rode a Yamaha to victory in the Le Mans 24-hour race earlier this year, will partner Spaniard Ruben Xaus at Mugello.
