World Superbike championship leader Troy Corser is determined to continue his superb start to the season at this weekend's fifth round at Silverstone. The Australian has won six of this season's eight races to earn a 52-point lead in the riders' standings.
"My results last year were not bad so I am really looking forward to racing on the Alstare Suzuki and taking a couple of podiums," he said.
"I like Silverstone except for the final chicane which is just crazy."
Corser finished seventh and ninth at Silverstone last season, although the circuit has since undergone changes.
"I am not sure why they have changed the layout unless it is to do with safety issues," said Corser.

"There were a couple of `so-so' spots on the track so maybe they have changed the layout because of them." Corser's team-mate Yukio Kagayama is just as confident, and expects his previous experience of riding on Silverstone's new layout to be an advantage.
Kagayama raced on the circuit during his time in British Superbikes.
"Unusually it seems I may be one of the few riders who has raced this layout at Silverstone before," he said.
"It is quite different to the full circuit but I like it and, as I have been on the podium there in my first British Superbike season, it has good memories for me.
"I was disappointed in the second race at Monza in the last round and I want to make up for that with a pair of podium finishes at Silverstone.
"I have many fans in Britain and so it is a bit like a home race for me. I think the Alstare Suzuki will be a good bike for Silverstone and maybe this time I can get the better of my team-mate Troy."
