Crockard switches to Honda outfit
Gordon Crockard
Gordon Crockard has been hampered by injury in recent seasons
Newtownards rider Gordon Crockard is to compete for a Northern Ireland-based Honda team in the 2006 World and British motocross championships.

Crockard will be part of a three-man team under the guidance of Roger Magee, with Wulfsport the main sponsor.

"We have come up with a good package and it will be good to work with a Northern Ireland team," said Crockard.

"I want to win the British series and be in the top five at world level and I am positive that we can achieve that."

"I have been injured for the last few years and haven't got the results that I would have wanted."

"I have ridden for Honda for most of my career and they are backing us well. They are prepared to put up the budget if we get the results," he added.

Crockard will be partnered in the team by Scot Shaun Simpson and young English rider Scott Cobert.
