Ian Lougher claimed three wins while John McGuinness earned two successes at Saturday's Ulster Grand Prix.

Welshman Lougher took the big race of the day by edging out Bruce Anstey in Ulster Grand Prix Superbike event which was held in two parts because of rain.

Lougher also won the closing Superbike race and the Superstock event.

McGuinness secured his first ever UGP victory in the opening Supersport 600 race and won the 250 race while Ryan Farquhar took the second 600 race.

In the main event of the day, Lougher led by over a second when the race was temporarily halted but while Anstey crossed the line first in the second part of the race, the Dromore-based Welshman won on aggregate by 1.48 seconds.

Ryan Farquhar took third in the big race, 16 seconds behind Lougher while Richard Britton was a further two seconds back in fourth.

In the second Superbike race, Lougher fought a great battle with Guy Martin before eventually pulling clear on the final circuit.

Ballymoney rider Archibald was second in the 600 race behind McGuinness with New Zealander Anstey in third.

Farquhar came in ahead of Martin Finnegan and Australian Cameron Donald.

Lougher emerged unscathed from the crash and went on to win the second Superbike race of the day.

McGuinness won the opening Supersport race ahead of Archibald and Anstey.
