New Zealander Bruce Anstey posted a hat-trick of victories at the Ulster Grand Prix around the Dundrod circuit. The Kiwi pipped pipped John McGuinness in the UGP Superbike feature race breaking the lap record along the way.
Anstey also took the honours in the 600cc Production race and then added the Supersport 600 for good measure.
Race day, however, was overshadowed by the death of Scotland's Andy Wallace who came off at Wheeler's during the first lap of the Production 1000 race.
Northern Ireland's Ryan Farquhar took the honours in that opening race ahead of Ballymoney's Adrian Archibald with Welshman Jason Griffiths in third.
The Dungannon rider came home first when he edged through on the inside of Anstey who slipped off at the hairpin.
But it was Anstey who was the star of the show with his three-in-a-row success and his win in the opening Superbike race was a thrilling climax to a great head-to-head with Farquhar and McGuinness.
Annoyed
Farquhar raced into the lead at the end of the opening lap, however, Anstey and McGuinness swapped the lead on five occasions before the Kiwi, on board the TAS Suzuki, took the victory laurels clocking an absolute UGP lap record of 129.038mph.
Anstey had controversially won the second race of the day when he was given the win ahead of the Kawasaki's of Farquhar and McGuinness.
Farquhar was convinced he won after the race was cut from four to three laps, but it was Anstey who was awarded victory.
An annoyed Farquhar believed that officials were wrong in their decision to award the race to Anstey.
''I thought I was robbed,'' he said. ''I have put in an appeal.
''According to the rules, I thought that I had won when the race was cut to four laps.''

Anstey's hat-trick came in the fourth race when he just held off Farquhar again with Richard Britton claiming third. Anstey broke the lap record for this class as well with a speed of 124.103mph. Chris Palmer was the surprise winner of the 125cc race. The Englishman pipped Ian Lougher and local favourite Robert Dunlop around three laps of the Co Antrim circuit.
Lougher had led on the opening lap and Palmer the second with Dunlop just unable to break through.
There was a little bit of history made in the 400cc race which was run concurrently with the two-stroke event when Anita Buxton became the first lady to win victory laurels at the annual event.
''It's brilliant. But it really hasn't sunk in yet,'' said the English girl after her success. ''I don't know how it happened, but I really enjoyed it.''
