Davies goes back to class
Welsh schoolboy Chaz Davies has returned home from his first grand prix test ready to resume his school studies after the half-term break.

Davies, 15, had his first ride on the Aprilia machine he will ride in this year's world 125cc championship in the two-day test at Valencia in Spain.

"I'm happy with the test and now I know what it's like to be out with top riders in the world," said Davies, who last year was the youngest-ever rider to win a British championship race.

"I had a wrist problem on the first day. But that was sorted out and it was a good couple of days working with the new team and on a new bike.

"Despite sliding off, I was one second faster on the second day of the test - which is very encouraging."

The Presteigne teenager continues his grand prix education in Barcelona on March 7-8 before his first race at Suzuka in Japan on April 7.
