BBC COMMENTATOR MARTIN BRUNDLE'S 2010 REVIEW

"The Senna name carries a burden along with opportunity for Ayrton's nephew Bruno.

"I have seen the 26-year-old in GP2 and F3 and his history up until now suggested he's very good, but maybe not great.

"The problem for him this season is that everyone who turned up as his rotating team-mate gave him a run for his money.

"I don't think driving a difficult car has done Senna any good. He is a credit to his family and a lovely guy and I really hope he gets a better chance to show his true potential."

BRUNO SENNA TAKES OUR DRIVERS' TEST

Name three attributes an F1 driver must have.

Dedication, talent and killer instinct (not literally!)

What is the hardest thing about being an F1 driver?

It's very high pressure all the time and to be successful you need to deliver every time.

Formula 1 is not just about the car because…

... thousandths of a second can make a difference in qualifying and seconds can make the difference in the race.

If I was in charge of Formula 1 I would…

... give the teams more equal opportunities.

If I could drive in any era of Formula 1 it would be…

... when the cars had V10 engines around 2003-2004. I'd love to drive one of those near 1000hp cars on the limit in qualifying.

How would you like to be remembered as a Formula 1 driver?

As a very successful and quick driver.

Ayrton Senna or Alain Prost?

Ayrton, of course.

SENNA STATS & FACTS
Team-mate:
Nationality: Brazilian
Born: 15/10/1983, Sao Paulo
Grand Prix debut: Bahrain 2010

Spa or Monaco?

Both?

If you weren't an F1 driver what would you be?

I'd work on something that is related to motor racing.

Who is your best friend among the drivers?

I guess the Brazilians, and Karun Chandhok.

Which F1 driver tells the worst jokes?

Do F1 drivers actually tell jokes? I thought we were only able to drive cars and look at computer screens to help us drive more quickly.

Describe yourself in a few words.

Chilled out and determined.

Do you excel at any other sports?

I used to be quite good at volleyball, but currently I do most other sports like cycling for my fitness training.

Who is the greatest sportsman of all time?

I believe that great sportsmen are able to use their careers to change people's lives in a positive way. Ayrton was able to do that in Brazil.

What car (s) other than an F1 car do you drive?

At the moment I don't own a road car, so I've been cycling around on my BMC bike.

What is your favourite song and what does it remind you of?

I don't have a favourite song, but I have a few ones that I always listen to and they remind me of good times during holidays and special people.

What's the last book that you read?

O Macunaima.

Where is your favourite place to go on holiday?

I love going to the beach house my family owns south of Rio. It's a great place where I can relax and do some great sports.

What would be your perfect day off?

Sit at home, watch a good movie with window-chattering sound levels, eat loads of food and sleep for 12 hours.

Which famous person - dead or alive - would you like to have dinner with and why?

I'd love to meet Lance Armstrong, Nelson Mandela and with my uncle Ayrton for some interesting questions.

Tell us something about yourself that most F1 fans might not know?

I am a big electronics/computer/audio enthusiast and these are some of the things that relax me when I'm not busy with my profession.
