The San Marino Grand Prix is one of the most popular races on the calendar. The food and scenery of the region of Emilio Romagna are delightful and Italy has the world's most passionate fans.
But the Imola track is a pale shadow of its former greatness, having been emasculated by chicanes since the great Ayrton Senna was killed there in 1994.
The names of great corners like Tamburello remain, but only Piratella - a fast downhill left approached over a crest - remains a true challenge.
