FIA president Jean Todt used to be the boss at Ferrari

FIA president Jean Todt faces a tough task to force through his plans for more fuel-efficient engines when the F1 Commission meets at Heathrow on Wednesday. Todt's proposals for greener cars were voted through by the World Motor Sport Council last year but are opposed by Bernie Ecclestone and three of the four F1 engine manufacturers.

Vitaly Petrov says a closer relationship with his Renault team has helped improve his performance in this year's championship. "I feel like I am at home and they support me all the year. This is maybe why the results are here this year," said the Russian driver.

Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa is once again in line to replace Sergio Perez if the Sauber driver is not 100% fit to drive in Sunday's European Grand Prix. De La Rosa stood in for Perez at the Canadian Grand Prix after the Mexican failed to fully recover from his crash at the Monaco GP a few weeks earlier.
