Barrichello wants to make sure the drivers will be safe in Bahrain

Williams veteran Rubens Barrichello says Formula 1's drivers want to know that it is safe to race in Bahrain after its grand prix was returned to the calendar following a period of civil unrest. Barrichello is the president of the Grand Prix Drivers' Association and said all the drivers had "expressed concern and demanded security for the race in Bahrain".

Sports Minister Hugh Robertson says there will be a "disaster" if the Bahrain GP, rescheduled for 30 October, goes ahead. Robertson added: "You can understand why opposition groups might want the race to go ahead if they are planning protests around it and this is a danger."
