Di Resta has become a popular figure since joining the Formula 1 field in 2011

From what I understand the teams had a meeting in Monaco last Friday and decided that they are not going to race [in Bahrain] this year. This was not based on any moral questions but rather on the date that was being offered to them. The word is that the race will be back on the F1 calendar at the start of 2012.

Pirelli say it will be "impossible to predict" how the tyres will perform at the Canadian Grand Prix on 12 June. The Italian tyre supplier is taking the supersoft and soft compounds to Montreal's part street circuit, part permanent track.

Force India driver Paul di Resta has chosen Brazil's late three-time world champion Ayrton Senna as his dream team-mate and says if he ever won the world title he would celebrate with fish and chips.

Williams technical director Sam Michael described the Monaco Grand Prix as "bittersweet" as Rubens Barrichello scored the team's first points of the season but Pastor Maldonado lost out after a tangle with Lewis Hamilton late on. On the plus side, Michael is confident both drivers can be competitive in Montreal.

Virgin driver Timo Glock is doing some hardcore training for the next race in Canada. Glock says on social networking site Twitter: "Just on the way to proper mountain bike camp for 3 days with some other crazy riders!!! 3 hard days, and yes, no Mark Webber stories."
