Wednesday: Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel starts his second day as he finished the first - fastest. He sets a lap of one minute 13.614 seconds lap to establish Red Bull even at this stage as the team to beat
Wednesday: Hang on, though. After spending the morning doing aerodynamic testing, Alonso lets some laps rip in the new Ferrari and he beats Vettel's time by more than 0.3secs, raising hopes of a competitive season

Tuesday: Alonso exits the Ferrari garage in his new F150. The Spaniard completes a lengthy morning run, posting a fastest lap time of one minutes 14.718 seconds. He improves that to 1:14.553 in the afternoon session
Tuesday: But the fastest man on the track is Vettel with lap of 1:13.769, more than 0.5sec ahead of day one backmarker Rosberg. Testing times may count for nothing but, all the same, impressive stuff from the defending champion
Tuesday: Ferrari's Felipe Massa watches the action unfold from trackside. The Brazilian is not scheduled to drive on Tuesday or Wednesday but will take over from Alonso on Thursday - the final day of testing in Valencia
Tuesday: Yet to launch their 2011 car, McLaren begin testing in last season's vehicle. Lewis Hamilton takes the seat on Wednesday and Jenson Button on Thursday, so first up it's the turn of reserve driver Gary Paffett
