Red Bull driver Mark Webber says it is not possible to be close friends with rivals in F1. ''It's just not easy to have complete friendships. I think you have closer friends from outside of your profession. You pick up the odd one or two along the way for sure, but [they're counted] on the one hand. You think there's a camaraderie, but in the end you know you're on your own.''

Force India have made some changes to their engineering management. Andy Green has replaced Lotus-bound Mark Smith as technical director, while chief engineer Dominic Harlow takes on a new role as head of circuit engineering, in charge of engineering at races and with an overview of design and development.
