Nelson Piquet Jr has been talking for the first time about his fateful decision to deliberately crash at the 2008 Singapore Grand Prix. On the crash itself he says: "I hit the beginning of the 14th lap [and] it felt like my heart might jump out of my body. I was incredibly scared, it was like a dream. I felt no pain on impact, but the adrenalin was pumping." He explained his decision to agree to the plan as "a way to please" former Renault boss Flavio Briatore. (The Times)

Luca Badoer is leaving his role as Ferrari test driver after 13 years. The Italian, who filled in for the injured Felipe Massa in two races in 2009, is making a farewell appearance at the Bologna International Motor Show, where he will do some hot laps in the 2009 Ferrari.
