A five-year contract for a Rome Grand Prix, first mooted last winter, was signed in the Monza paddock on Friday by F1 commercial boss Bernie Ecclestone and organiser Maurizio Flammini. The race would be in addition to the Italian GP at Monza, and would first run in 2012 or 2013. "Two or three years back I didn't know what I might go through one day, and this is probably one of the stages when it is not the easiest time," he said. Full story: speedtv.com Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has denied claims that the team's recent demonstration laps at the new Korean Grand Prix venue, with Hispania Racing's Karun Chandhok driving, gave his squad an advantage of prior knowledge of the Yeongam circuit. "It was close to a six-year-old car with a V10 [old-spec] engine, with very basic telemetry, and a driver who isn't our regular driver," said Horner.
