Button's girlfriend announced the revival of their relationship on Twitter

Jenson Button put both his qualifying form and love life back on track at the German Grand Prix on Sunday. After out-qualifying McLaren team mate Lewis Hamilton for the first time since April, Button told reporters he had also renewed his romance with Argentine-Japanese lingerie model girlfriend Jessica Michibata.

Renault boss Eric Boullier has played down rumours that his team is in financial trouble. He told the French language edition of Agence France Presse: "These are the usual games played by people who try to tarnish your image. There is nothing to say. There is no problem. I need to spend more because we want to finish the R30 and begin the R31. Like any normal company, I asked the shareholders to help us. We have television money that is coming, so why not ask for it in advance?"
