F1 race director Charlie Whiting says Ferrari were advised three times that their driver Fernando Alonso should let Renault's Robert Kubica through during the British Grand Prix. Whiting said: "On the radio, I suggested to them that if they exchange position again, there would be no need for the stewards to intervene."
