This time it was that the French air traffic controllers' strike had delayed his arrival in Valencia for tomorrow's European Grand Prix. That in turn had delayed his track walk. Hence he made his media appearance almost seven minutes behind schedule. As for the other excuses that have been a leitmotif of Schumacher's struggle of a season, we have heard the car was not to his liking. We were urged to give him time to see if he would again hit the heights after three years in retirement. His performances have called for apologists.
