Following the resignation of Sir Richard Lapthorne from his role as non-executive chairmanship of McLaren Group and McLaren Automotive consultant, McLaren have announced they are to restructure their management. Team principal Martin Whitmarsh will also take on the roles of chief executive officer of the McLaren Group and deputy chairman of McLaren Automotive.

Korean GP boss Yung Cho-chung believes the recent negative press surrounding the race has helped spark interest. Track designer Hermann Tilke was last week forced to deny a reported comment expressing his doubts the venue would be built on time for the race at the end of October.
