John Booth has replaced Alex Tai as principal of the new Virgin Racing Formula 1 team. Booth is the founder of British-based Manor Motorsport and was previously Virgin Racing's sporting director. Virgin joined forces with Manor in December, with Timo Glock partnering Lucas di Grassi as the team's drivers. One of four newcomers to the grid for the 2010 season, Virgin also announced that Graeme Lowden is to take on the role of chief executive. Manor Motorsport have a successful history in junior single-seater racing and can count former world champions Kimi Raikkonen and Lewis Hamilton as past drivers. Tai, whose background is in aviation, has been working closely with Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson since 1997.
