Silverstone Grand Prix tickets still remain for Friday and Saturday |
Race-day tickets for the Sunday of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone have sold out. Silverstone says there has been record levels of demand for tickets for the 6 July race with world championship title contender Lewis Hamilton the main draw. Tickets are still available for practice on Friday, 4 July and qualifying on the following day. Last year Kimi Raikkonen won the Grand Prix after Hamilton had claimed pole at the Northamptonshire circuit. Silverstone Circuits managing director Richard Phillips said: "The support for this year's British Grand Prix has been exceptional. "This is the earliest I can remember us selling out of race-day tickets. "The British fans are some of the most loyal and knowledgeable fans in the world and we are delighted that they have shown such overwhelming support for the event."
