Davidson recovered from his collision to finish 16th in Melbourne |
Anthony Davidson will be able to test for Super Aguri ahead of the Malaysian Grand Prix, provided he passes a final assessment on an upper back injury. Davidson was taken to hospital after Sunday's race in Australia following a shunt by Spyker's Adrian Sutil.
He recovered to finish 16th in Melbourne and his injury is not as bad as was first feared.
"Pending an assessment this weekend, he will attend the test in Sepang next week," a team spokesman confirmed.
"Anthony sustained only a minor upper torso muscular injury."
Davidson, 27, is racing for Super Aguri this season after six seasons on the sidelines with BAR and Honda.
Sunday's race in Melbourne was only his fourth Grand Prix.
