Lewis Hamilton returned to the track where he suffered a horrific smash just eight days ago to post the fastest time of this week's testing in Valencia. Hamilton escaped unhurt after a 165mph crash in the new McLaren MP4-22 at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
The 22-year-old British rookie was back behind the wheel of his McLaren for the first time on Friday.
He completed 120 laps, his quickest in an unofficial time of one minute 11.120 seconds, the best of the week.
