Schumacher expects to see more of his family now he is retired |
Michael Schumacher is looking forward to taking a break now that his career as a Formula One driver is over. The German raced for the final time in Sunday's Brazilian Grand Prix and said he knew what he would be doing when the 2007 season starts next March.
"I'll probably be with my kids watching the race on television," he said.
The 37-year-old is not sure of his exact plans for the future but emphasised: "I'm not going to change my decision on retiring."
Schumacher, who is married with two children, aged nine and six, said his family was relieved that he had given up driving.
"My dad was happy after the (Brazil) race," he said. "He said to me, 'Finally, it's over'.
"I think his heart rate was higher than mine during the race but we can now relax a little bit."
