Button (r) and Barrichello are sixth and seventh in the standings |
Honda are keen to keep together their driver line-up of Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello for next year. Fourth in the constructors' standings, and with a Grand Prix win under their belts, Honda are happy with their team.
"We're planning to stick with the same two drivers next year - we don't plan any changes," said Honda Racing development president Yasuhiro Wada.
"The win in Hungary was a highlight but apart from that the feeling is we've started operating at full capacity."
Button's win at the Hungaroring in August ended Honda's long wait for a Grand Prix victory and has boosted the team's expectations.
"I think after Hungary we have to aim higher than a podium," added Wada.
"We should be looking to win races and hopefully we can start at Suzuka this week."
 | The drivers have worked extremely well together |
Button is sixth in the drivers' standings on 45 points, with Barrichello one place below on 28.
Honda team boss Nick Fry said the pairing of Button and Barrichello had been a success and would improve with time.
"I think for a team at our level the absolute minimum expectation is for both drivers to have points finishes," he said.
"We've achieved that in the last four races.
"The drivers have worked extremely well together and I think our team will be extremely strong next season and beyond that."
