Todt is eyeing drivers' and constructors' title success

Schumacher cut Fernando Alonso's championship lead to just two points and then announced his retirement.

Todt said: "Now we're focused on the championship. Monza was decisive for both championships.

"The entire team will give its best to help him win the last three races and the world title."

Schumacher, who will stand down at the end of the season, dramatically stepped up his bid for an eighth world title with Sunday's victory and Alonso's engine failure 10 laps from the end.

Ferrari also overtook Renault in the constructors' standings, and now lead by three points.

"I'm happy that Michael won and I'm quite moved by his decision to retire," added Todt who, along with technical director Ross Brawn, may also be nearing the end of his tenure with Ferrari.

"We'll make the other announcements at the end of the season. Enough with all the speculation, let's focus on the championship."

Schumacher, 37, has insisted he will retain a role with Ferrari after his retirement - most likely in an ambassadorial capacity.

"I will always be part of that Ferrari family, we will have to find out how," the German said.

"I will keep a relationship with Ferrari. Naturally the focus is on the last three races and all the details come after that."
